Watermelon Margarita

I enjoy hosting Taco Tuesday nights for my friends and/or family. It’s a fun way to bring people together and serves as a reminder that it’s okay to relax and enjoy yourself during a busy work week. You gotta eat at some point, right? So why not have that home cooked meal in the company of others. I prepare and lay out a full spread of meats, vegetables, beans, salsas, sour cream and cheeses so that everyone can sort of build to their own taste. I also curate a new cocktail to pair with the meal. This one is my most requested.

Ingredients
3 Cups of Seedless Watermelon, cubed
3/4 Cup Lime Juice
1/3 Cup Sugar
2 Cups Ice
1 Cup Tequila
1/2 Cup Gran Marnier or Triple Sec

Method
1. In a blender, combine the watermelon, lime juice, sugar and ice and blend until smooth.
2. Add tequila and Gran Marnier or Triple Sec, and pulse to blend.
3. Fill tall glasses with ice and pour margaritas over and serve.
