VAGINAL HEALTH

Vaginal Candida
Also known as a “yeast infection” is one of the most common vaginal health concerns. It’s extremely uncomfortable to bear from start to finish. Using yogurt is a well known DIY remedy, whose effectiveness can be propelled with the right combination of essential oils. It is important to note that the yogurt must be live, organic, and natural made from whole milk, with absolutely no sugar and containing live bacterial cultures. There should be no additives or preservatives. If you cannot find said type of yogurt, forget this portion of this guide.

Ingredients
5 Drops Chamomile German
5 Drops Lavender
5 Drops Tea Tree
2oz Yogurt

Method
Mix essential oils with yogurt. For application, remove the cotton portion of a tampon and scoop as much yogurt into the applicator as you can. You’ll need to close off the end of the applicator that normally pushes the tampon into the vagina. Lie down with a pillow under the knees and insert the the applicator as you would a tampon and do not get up for about 10 minutes. Apply once a day until the condition has improved.

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
Gynecological science has recently began to be able to identify the wide range of vaginal microbiota. As technology progresses, specific classifications will be made for the many tiny organisms that apparently reside within women. For now, however, lets focus on a recognizable microbiata, BV. BV is characterized by abnormal vaginal discharge that has a “fishy” odor, as well as itchy and burning sensations. Try the blend below in a warm shallow bath, also known as a “sitz.”

Ingredients
2 Drops Chamomile German
2 Drops Lavender
1 Drop Cypress
2 Teaspoons Vegetabe Glycerin
2-1/2 Cups Water

Method
Combine ingredients and strain through an unbleached paper coffee filter. Add 3-1/2 fluid ounces of the blend to the water in a bath, and soak for ~20 minutes. Repeat daily until the condition has improved.
